In a Riot | Vancouver | Canada
This time not a post about an awesome place, but still an beautiful story.
Was it a caring calm down kiss for the pain?.. or was it an expression of true love, not quite on the sly?
But does it matter? This picture has travelled around the world. The image of a brave knight caring for an innocent helpless princess in a hostile environment has warmed the hearts of thousands. At least for a single moment. Like one single candle can lite a dark room.
The impact of contrast is an interesting one: it seems to magnify our feelings and emotions. Let’s hope we don’t need riots to truly enjoy seeing people kiss.
Canada-based photojournalist Richard Lam took the photograph while covering the riots that followed the Vancouver Canucks’ 4-0 loss to the Boston Bruins in the Stanley Cup.
