Bio: From the moment I was able to walk, I gave way to my curiosity. As an 18 year old boy this passion for travel definitely took over, exploring the whole of Australia.  Extended voyages of discovery followed diving deep into cultures.  My professional life, between travels, involved always the wonder world of human interaction.  After a grand shift, escaping the corporate context, I decided to dedicate my precious life energy to StoryTravelers.

Philosophy: “ I won’t be framed in this picture of life, when it becomes a blur I shall step into a new picture of my own vision”

Passion: Capturing reflections of emotions, objects, cultures, spaces, people and music in timeless images.

Bio: Miriam McIver is a student of life with a passion for exploring, traveling and sharing her perceptions through film, photography and writing. She has a background in graphic design, developed from several disciplines. Broadened her horizons being a “Creative visualizer” realizing several projects of cultural significance.

Passion: Charity starts within. If you make someone happy in themselves they are more likely to help others. I’d like to inspire happiness through creativity in any aspect of life and through surfing. If I can help someone maybe they’ll help others.

Bio:  I’m searching for myself, so I’ll find things for you.

Passion: Create space for Creation

Bio:  David started creating as an entrepreneur when he was only 14 years old. 19 years later he lead a 1000 employee company to realise what his real passion is. Inspire other people to start creating from their inner strenght. David is the founder of “How to create your own success” seminars and the author of the equally named book.

Passion: “I love to cross countries, take time to dive deep into local stories”

Bio: Martin van Doorn was born in the Netherlands. Spending his youth in New Zealand he returned to Europe when he was twenty-one. He studied  Creative Media in Amsterdam and then started working in marketing and advertising. He has been travelling the globe in search of  stories, photo’s and adventure. His favourite subjects include people, culture, and travel.

Passion: To dig a little deeper, to understand and to retell the story so others also will understand

Bio: Born with insatiable curiosity I will never stop exploring. Travelling exposes me to different landscapes, different traditions, different cultures and most importantly, different ways of thinking. I tell stories for a living, as a marketer, as a public speaker and as a teacher at a university – and as a father of five when my kids go to bed :)

Passion: “The thing I like the most is walking around in a strange environment,  watch the people live their life in their world,  tell their story with photos. Every place is different and has its own story.”

Bio: Wide range of commercial editorial work and corporate photography | Ambassador for Canon | Finished Mediacollege Amsterdam at the age of 20| Developed a stunning portfolio inspired by travels throughout South America and Europe’s metropolitan areas.

Passion: Exploring new ground, having new eyes and getting people to tell about their passion

Bio:  I’m a flourising flower that grew up in the harsh lands of southern Italy. After a linguistic university formation I dedicated my professional life to world of travel. I took visitors  from all over the world on my exprience tours and shared stories about my beautiful homeland. Now I’m dedicated to inspire a broader public with my stories via the online world.

Passion: The Maori Culture and Soul music

Bio: After a life of designing commercial stuff Hermen decided to switch lifestream. He dived into a river where his real passion flows. Filming. After having returned to the seats of college he started directing and producing film. His heart starts to bounce faster when he’s able to capture stills of  people in their natural habitat disclosing personal stories.

Passion: Capture everything and turn it into a story.

Bio:  There once was a girl named Alyx. Who never knew exactly where to be? Some morning she woke up on beach huts in Goa other times. She slept in tree houses of Turkey. She knew she had to mediate in the foothills of Nepal and dance underneath the neon lights of New York City. Follow this global trotting Yogini as she stumbles her way across the world. Never knowing where her next destination will be…………..

I can’t imagine doing anything more fun than working with a very creative team to inspire more people to travel more conscious and slow!

Passion: I like experimenting with video/interactivity to find new ways to tell stories.

Bio:  For 12 years I’ve done interaction design for brands such as: Nike, Microsoft, Canon, Heineken and Sony. Worked for NGO’s such as: Oxfam Novib, Vluchtelingenwerk, PressNow, Butch & Sundance Media, doing presentations, game design, video. Made leaders for dutch broadcasters I designed, edited and videographed.

Passion: exploring new countries, learning about new cultures and places. But what I love most is meeting new people.

Bio:  I am a Dutch photographer with a background in American Studies, and I worked as a project manager at a graphic design studio for over 7 years. I left my job  in ’09, cleared out my apartment, packed my bags and headed to S. Africa. I started a project on young Cape Town creatives called Swimming Upstream.

Passion: I love stories, the kind of stories that are everywhere but nowhere until someone asks the right question of the right person.

Bio:  My ‘daily job’ is being an editor of a travel blog for a company Portfolio Collection. I won a ‘dream travel job’ competition with a South African travel magazine (Getaway) and traveled through parts of rural South Africa,a woman alone with just my clothes and camera and laptop. For the rest, mother, lover,  beer fan, mermaid.

Passion: I love to dive in new adventures, sleep in a hammock with rebels in the jungle of Colombia, witness a realtime volcano eruption in Guatemala, swim with whalesharks in Mexico, organize a party with locals in the middle of The Gambia in Africa and celebrate carnaval in Brazil.

Bio: My life is one big trip I guess I’m here in this world to discover places in a way they have never been discovered. Inside myself and outside in the world.

Passion: With sustainability top of mind they approach traveling with respect and tolerance towards local traditions, always eager for absorbing cultures.

Bio:  Charlot is currently residing in Raiwala, Northern-India, where she learns and teaches the artof yoga and meditation. Hans is settled on and off in The Netherlands, running his writing & editing company FLINdR. Every few months they team up to travel around and be inspired.

Passion: Capture world’s untold stories.

Bio:  I’m a documentary filmmaker based in the Netherlands (Utrecht). I mainly work in the field of documentary film as an director, editor and researcher. At the moment I’m working on two beautifull projects. Daily Detours, a film about daily life in the occupied territories and the transmedial project World of 30, a platform for a generation worldwide.

Passion:  From a young age, and inspired by her father, she began to dabble in photography, a hobby which has, in the long term, become a great passion.

Bio: Born in Italy and raised in various countries around the world including Burkina Faso, the USA, the Netherlands, Peru, Costa Rica now residing in Equador. She graduated as a MSc in International Development and therefore researched specific communities in Madagascar and Lebanon.
